This Victorian chimney was showing significant signs of deterioration. The original flaunching on top had broken down, allowing moisture to penetrate the stack. We removed the failed material and replaced it with a durable sharp sand and cement mix to restore weather protection.

The lead flashing had began to peel away from the brickwork and was carefully re-fitted using lead mate sealant to ensure a watertight finish. Damaged bricks were repaired using specialist repair mortar and the chimney was repointed with a traditional lime mortar mix, maintaining both structural integrity and period character.
